PROFESSIONAL ACTIVITIES
AS in New Media
(2016-current) Co-Designer, previous Program Manager and current committee member of the new degree track called AS in New Media. Creating this degree track included the establishment of an industry advisory board, framework, objectives, job statistics, and the design of many “new media” inspired communication and business type courses. It was a difficult process which has taken over three years and included several presentations to the entire Curriculum Committee to demonstrate the validity of concept.
The documents below represent a small sampling of the research presented and documents created in the arduous process of creating this new degree track at Broward College.
Hiring Committees (2016-2020) - I've proudly participated in five Hiring Committees and acted as Chair of one of the committees. We've welcomed four new faculty members (Victoria Ng, Kim Kamuka, Rosena Beniste, Stephen Muniz) and one new Associate Dean (Edward Cornejo) in the process.

As a Mentor (2014-2018) at Florida Atlantic University's TechRunway, I had to go through an extensive committee review and complete the MIT Venture Mentoring Service training course. This mentorship program connects experienced entrepreneurs with students to help in the design and creation of new businesses.
